Virginia Louise Sandage

Virginia Louise Sandage, 78, of St. Clair, Mo., formerly of Kennett and Steele, Mo., died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born June 3, 1927, in Midland, Tenn., daughter of the late Rowe and Myrtle Lucas Fraze, she was a cook and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

On Sept. 5, 1942, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Raymond "Pete" Sandage, who preceded her in death on July 12, 1993. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Leona Chester and three brothers, William, Jesse and James Fraze.

Survivors include three sons, William Sandage and wife, Debra, of Half Moon, Ark., Anthony Sandage and wife, Lisa, of Steele and Randal Sandage, of Kennett; one daughter, Sandra Peterson, of St. Clair; one brother, John Fraze and wife, Ginger, of Swoyersville, Pa. and one sister, Anna Barron, of Kennett.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at the Bradshaw Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.

Pallbearers will be Larry Fisher, Dewayne Boone, Dewayne and Jonathan Forsythe, Robert Gould and Jimmy Jo McClure.
