Glenard Carey, 88, of West Memphis, Ark., formerly of Corning, Ark., died Monday, May 1, 2006, at West Memphis.

Born June 15, 1917, in Corning, Ark., son of the late Ernest and Lula Dennis Carey, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.

He married Oza Ann Luttrell, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Survivors include one step-daughter, Natalie Mishller; one brother, Gordon Carey, of Gleason, Tenn., and one sister, Velma Watson, of West Memphis.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 5, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
