Joe Wayne Cowart, 62, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Malden.

Born July 14, 1943, in Malden, son of the late John and Jacqueline Scales Cowart, he was a farmer and a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden.

On Nov. 23, 1960, he married Ruth Rice Moore, who survives. He married Jan Daniels Mauldin on Dec. 31, 1991, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, David Cowart, of New Madrid, Mo., and Tommy Cowart, of Malden; one step-son, Kevin Mauldin, of Malden; one step-daughter, Shawna Glueck, of Jackson, Mo.; two brothers, Ronald and Robert Cowart, both of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Thursday, May 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Richard Blagg, Chuck Pipkins and Paul Starnes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
