Clarence Jackson, Jr.

Clarence "Sam" Jackson, Jr., 61, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Hayti.

Born July 29, 1944, in Chicago, Ill., son of Dorothy Smith and the late Clarence Jackson, Sr., he attended Central High School in Hayti and was a cook.

On Sept. 4, 1963, he married L.A. Joy.

Survivors include three daughters, Angela Jackson, Robin Flowers and husband, Bobby and Deliese Jackson; two sons, Raimar and Darryl Jackson; his mother, Dorothy Mack, of Raytown, Mo.; one sister, Sonja Lee and husband, Cleoford; 16 grandchildren and companion, Paulette Smith.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at the Cedar Street Baptist Church in Hayti with the Rev. Darion Thomas officiating.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
