Helen Swain, 93, of Kennett, died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Jan. 31, 1913, in Ozark, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Walter William and Edith Elmine Gardner Smith.
On June 4, 1932, in Kennett, she married Homer Swain, who preceded her in death in March of 1978. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William Lee and Charles Junior Swain; two daughters, Betty Jane and Nora Ann; one brother, Cleo Smith and five sisters, Ruth Fields, Lilly Mattingly, Audrey Lashley, Edith Sinclair and Annie Bell Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Claude Swain, of Osceola, Mo., and Homer Swain, of Kennett; four sisters, Iva Harmon, Katie Harmon, Juanita Wisner and Ruby Cast; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 25, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bud Evans and Scott Andrews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Steve, Kevin, Lynn, Jeff, Tim and Terry Swain.
Honorary pallbearers are Claude, Chris and Craig Swain and Josh Newson.
