Born Oct. 27, 1922, in Knobel, Ark., son of the late Clarence Ervin and Grace Jackson Green he was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII. He was in the auto body shop business, a car dealer and a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Spindale.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Guffey, of Forest City; three sisters, Peggy Hopkins and Genelda Martin, both of Kennett and Anna Dickerson, of Castro Valley, Calif.; one brother, Bill Green, of Kennett; one granddaughter, Rhonda Alexander, of Rutherfordton, N.C. and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at Crowe's Mortuary in Rutherfordton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at the Crowe's Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Rick Brewer and Billy Vaughn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bostic Cemetery at Bostic, N.C.
