Asa Hillis, 74, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born April 5, 1932, in Williamsville, Mo., son of the late James and Addie White Hillis, he was a farmer, carpenter and factory worker and a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Francis, Ark.
On June 17, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Lois Stewart, who preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 2000. He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Cole and husband, Lee, of Pascola, Mo.; one son, Michael Hillis and wife, Angela, of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Betty Mitchell, of Clarkton, Mo.; one brother, Clarence Hillis, of Gideon, Mo., and three grandchildren, Amy Cole Cook, of Jonesboro, Ark., Matthew Cole, of Pascola and Aaron Hillis, of St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, April 21, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Donald R. Houston officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition at Campbell.
