Sue Evans, 72, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, April 17, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Oct. 25, 1933, in Decaturville, Tenn., daughter of the late Benjamin and Norena Hamilton Walker, she was a cook for Campbell School and of the Baptist faith.
On Oct. 13, 1953, in Carthage, Miss., she married James Dwight Evans, Sr., who survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Shonda Vannasdall and husband, Gerry, and Belinda Dillard and husband, David, all of Campbell; one son, James "Jimmy" Dwight Evans, Jr., and wife, Suzzett, of Campbell; four sisters, Mary Etta Creasy, of Bath Springs, Tenn., Carrie Baskins, of Benton Harbor, Mich., Judy Morris and husband, Edward, of Newbern, Tenn., and Ann Howell and husband, Roy, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two brothers, W.C. Hamilton and wife, Peggy, of Savannah, Tenn., and John Dee Walker and wife, Pat, of Bath Springs; nine grandchildren, Karen Fielder and Rusty and Jacob Tinnon, all of Campbell, Melanie Fielder, of Holcomb, Mo., Brendan and Jyliann Evans, both of Clarkton, Mo., Stephen Householder, of Georgia, and Jeromy and Aaron Householder, both of Piggott, Ark., and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Madison Fielder, both of Campbell.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Fanalee Walker and Mary Ellen Atkins and one brother, Robert Walker.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 18, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Andy Evans and Paul Starnes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
