Raymond Maples

Raymond Maples, 84, of Cardwell, Mo., died Friday, April 7, 2006, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark.

Born Dec. 18, 1921, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Raymond Maples, Sr., he was a U.S. Army veteran.

On Aug. 29, 1944, in Paragould, he married Mammie Lee Forrester, who preceded him in death on April 5, 2002.

Survivors include one son, Steven Maples, of Cardwell; two daughters, Marion Cumpton, of St. Charles, Mo., and Donna Bishop and husband, Jim, of Paragould; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at noon, Monday, April 10, at the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell with the Rev. Leland Dement officiating.

Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robbie, Matt and David Bishop, Danielle Compton, Wallace Foster and Rick Letson.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
