James Norman

James Glen "Boots" Norman, 86, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, April 2, 2006 in Hayti, Mo.

Born Feb. 29, 1920, in Cottonwood Point, Mo., son of the late James Wesley and Beulah Cunningham Norman, he was a carpenter.

On May 4, 1940, in Kennett, he married Lotric Taylor, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Dr. Connie Jo Armstrong and husband, Chester, of DuQuion, Ill., and Mickey Passmore, of Caruthersville; one son, Glen Norman and wife, Elaine, of Cecilia, Ky.; two brothers, Paul Norman and wife, Lane, of Olive Branch, Miss., and Toby Norman, of Cecilia; seven grandchildren, Wesley and Shane Passmore, Jana Kaye Kuhnert, Lisa and Eric Norman, Chester Armstrong, Jr., and Kara Beth Passmore-Ifhan and five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Samuel and Tucker Kuhnert, Lylah Armstrong and Rebecca Passmore.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 8, at the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
