Ruby Ella McElwrath, 70, of Kennett, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at NEA Medical Center of Jonesboro, Ark.

Born August 9, 1935, at Kennett, she was a daugther of the late Benjamin P. and Susan Ada Foster McClanahan. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Melva Raines and Joan Vinson; and three brothers, Haraold, Cleo and Alvia McClanahan.

She married Hershel McElwrath who survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Greg Green and Shawn Green, both of Kennett and Keith McClanahan of Blytheville, Ark., two daughters Susie Green Vincent of Arnold, Mo. and Charlotte Hicks of Kennett; two sisters, Virginia Tarver of Kennett and Willie Dee Taylor of Arnold; six grandchildren, Trey Smith, Andrea Jones, Nicole and Shana Green, Traci McMillin and Jeremiah Vincent and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Leslie Jones.

Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. today, Sunday, April 9, at McDaniel Funeral Chapel at Kennett, with funeral services at 3:30 p.m. with Judy Conder officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
