A number of youth from Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett recently traveled to Paducah, Kent. to attend a David Nasser conference.

The youth that attended included Anna Theile, Haley Fincer, Melodie Scallorns and Brent Martin. They were accompanied by two adult sponsors, Debra and James Geohagen.

According to the Internet website www.baptistfire.com, David Nasser gives a moving testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Nasser speaks to more than 200,000 people each year and is actively involved in church revivals, camps and school assemblies.

The BaptistFire website claims that Nasser tells a compelling story of how his family barely escaped from being killed in Iran, how the Holy Spirit worked in his life to break him down and make him open to the gospel. He also tells how the love of some Christians drew him to Jesus.

Nasser said that his mother begged him not to be baptized and his father demanded that he "stop being a Christian."

In the end, Nasser shares the tells how he and his whole family were gloriously "saved."
