Dewey Walker, Jr.

Dewey Daniel "Dan" Walker, Jr., 63, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

Born Feb. 4, 1943, in Russell, Ark., son of the late Dewey Daniel and Beryldean Parrigan Walker, he was employed at Sun Superior Chipper Parts, a Mason and of the Pentecostal faith.

On July 2, 1964, he married Lynda Cobb, who preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 2001. He later married Barbara Lee Pfeffer in Holland, Mo., who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Dana Allsup Hines and husband, David, of Florence, Ala.; one sister, Nadine Johnson, of Evansville, Ind., and one granddaughter, Michaela Allsup, of Florence.

A memorial service was held at noon, Friday, March 31, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. John Earl Dunavant officiating.
