Aline Veda Mungle, 87, of Kennett, formerly of the Sumach Community, died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Kennett.

Born June 11, 1918, in Dunklin County, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Grimes Masters.

She married T.M. Mungle, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one son, Carroll Marion Mungle; one daughter, Shirley Mungle; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include four sons, Earnest T. Mungle, of Jonesboro, Ark., Larry Wayne Mungle and Richard Dale Mungle, both of Kennett and Dennis Ray Mungle, of Peach Orchard, Mo.; four daughters, Polly Mungle and Sherry Kay Clements, both of Kennett, Verna Mae Horton, of Rector, Ark., and Linda Sue Dobbs, of Kansas City, Mo.; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Thursday, April 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Louie Cordell and Joseph Clements officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Caleb Kirkpatrick, Phillip McClish, Kenny Mauldin, John Cowgill, Joshua Cowgill and Mickey Halford.
