Gladys Biggs

Gladys Irene Pike Biggs, 83, of Denton, Mo., died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Aug. 25, 1922, in Denton, daughter of the late Otto and Elizabeth Davis Pike, she was a homemaker and of the Samford Church of Christ.

In Caruthersville, Mo., she married James Andrew Biggs, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Marie Biggs Green; two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, William "Bill" Biggs and wife, Linda, of Kennett; one daughter, Toy Ann Biggs, of Kennett; one sister, Opal Arney, of Prescott, Ark.; two grandchildren, Randy Biggs and Lisa Biggs Clark, both of Kennett and seven great-grandchildren, Corbin and Cameron Clark and Logan, McKenzie, Will and Gavin Biggs, all of Kennett and Kristin Shipman, of Holcomb, Mo.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, April 5, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo. with James Powell officiating.

Pallbearers were Randy Biggs, Joey Clark, Corbin Clark, Bill Grogan, Kelly Wagner and William Biggs.

Honorary pallbearers were Gavin Biggs, Will Biggs, Cameron Clark, Larry Wagner, Eddie Gilbert, Carl Johnson and Howard Burns.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
