Lavina Bernice Goode, 85, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, April 3, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare and Rehab in Malden.

Born April 9, 1920, in Conran, Mo., daughter of the late Martin Samuel and Otha Sauthoff Furlong, she was of the Pentecostal faith.

On Jan. 4, 1940, in Marston, Mo., she married John William Goode, who preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son, John Wayne Goode; one brother, Martin Luther Furlong; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Suvivors include three sons, Otis Tierce and wife, Ollie, of Doniphan, Mo., Martin Goode and wife Carolyn and Melvin Goode and wife, Wilma, all of Malden; one daughter, Martha Shoemate and husband, Travis, of Hannibal, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, April 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Gore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
