Born July 25, 1905, in Centerville, Tenn., son of the late John G. King and Anna Fuller, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He was a farmer and a member of the Tyler Church of God.
He married Mary Glowner King, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one son, Sammie King and one daughter, Minnie Bell Hilburn.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny King, of Malden, Mo., and Paul Richard King, of East Prairie, Mo.; two daughters, Mae Bell Barnett, of Caruthersville, Mo., and Helen Fehr, of Paragould, Ark.; one sister, Jessie Creasy, of Jackson, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 3, at the Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo., with the Rev. Jason Anderson officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
