Agnes Magers

Agnes Pauline Magers, 78, of Milford, Mich., died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce, Mich.

Born Sept. 29, 1927, in Conran, Mo., daughter of the late Albert and Hazel Howard LaFerney, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Risco, Mo.

She married Carl Burl Pardon, who preceded her in death on July 16, 1975. On Aug. 20, 1976, she married Roy Gilbert Magers, who preceded her in death on July 28, 2002. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Alberta Day.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula Tatum, of Milford and Vicki Douglas, of Evansville, Ind.; two sons, Jimmy Pardon, of Gideon, Mo., and Carl Wayne Pardon, of Portageville, Mo.; two step-sons, Roy Gilbert Magers, Jr., of Gideon and Robert Magers, of Scott City, Mo.; one brother, James LaFerney, of New Madrid, Mo.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 6, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
