Sidney Ray Leggett, 50, of Steele, Mo., died Monday, March 27, 2006, at Steele.

Born June 23, 1955, in Lepanto, Ark., son of the late James Alfred and Evelyn Smelley Leggett, he was a graduate of Cooter High School and in the National Guard.

Survivors include one brother, Doug Leggett, Sr., and wife, Shirley, of Gosnell, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Laster and husband, Jay, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Peggy Copeland and husband, Hershel, of Cooter, Mo. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Mitchell Number Eight Cemetery at Cooter with the Rev. Troy Alley officiating.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
