Annie Lois Ramey Neel, 89, of Piggott, Ark., formerly of Deering, Mo., died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Piggott.
Born March 20, 1917, in Dyer County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Freeman E. and Mary Maude Ramey.
In 1934, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married A.L. Neel, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Townley, and Pauline and Lucille Ramey.
Survivors include one son, Billy Neel and wife, Sally, of Sikeston, Mo.; June Lovelace and husband, Bill, of Piggott; one brother, Richard Ramey and wife, Marsha, of Blytheville, Ark.; one sister, Francis Wise and husband, Bill, of Tamaroa, Ill.; four grandchildren, Dr. LaNeel Lovelace and Marilyn Spurlock and husband, Dennis, all of Jonesboro, Ark., Larry Lovelace and wife, Misti, of Piggott and Paul Neel and wife, Christy, of Sikeston, Mo., and seven great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Colby Lovelace, all of Piggott, Ben McMullin and Meyer and Martha Neel, all of Sikeston and Logan Spurlock, of Jonesboro.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Friday, March 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Bro. Bill Lovelace officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Larry Lovelace, Brandon Lovelace, Colby Lovelace, Paul Neel, Dennis Spurlock, Logan Spurlock and Ben McMullin.
