Violet Elizabeth Douglas, 76, of Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at her residence.
Born March 15, 1930, in Lynn, Ark., daughter of Hattie McAnally Cline and the late Maxie Cline, she was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
On June 28, 1947, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Virgil Douglas, who preceded her in death on March 28, 2004. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis England and one sister, June Baldwin.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Loughary, Sue Meese and husband, Rick, and Debbie Youngblood, all of Gideon; two sons, Mark Douglas and wife, Cammy and Steve Douglas and wife, Tina, all of Paragould; her mother, Hattie Cline, of Paragould; one sister, Louise Williamson, of Rockford, Ill.; three brothers, L.C. and Conard Cline, both of Mountain Home, Ark., and Jackie Cline, of Paragould; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Friday, March 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. George Howell officiating.
Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden, Mo.
