Everett Crawford, 87, of Kennett, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Feb. 26, 1919, in Boynton, Ark., son of the late Ed and Amy Jenkins Crawford, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.

On Oct. 14, 1939, in Kennett, he married Mattie Dewitt, who preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 2005. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Amos Crawford and two sisters, Gertie Jackson and Anna Mae Shepard.

Survivors include five sons, Donny J. Crawford and wife, Ruth Anne, Bobby D. Crawford and wife, Vickie, and Ronnie L. Crawford and wife, Jonell, all of Kennett, Jerry D. Crawford, of Columbia, Mo., and Larry G. Crawford and wife, Cindy, of Boonville, Mo.; one daughter, Shirley Bugg and husband, Howard, of Olive Branch, Miss.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Wednesday, March 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were grandsons.
