Joyce Ann Jones, 46, of Hermondale, Mo., died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at South Mississippi County Regional Hospital in Osceola, Ark.
Born in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of the late George and Velma Jones, a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Hermondale, a 1978 graduate of Senath-Hornersville HIgh School, a graduate of the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Cotton Boll Tech, in Burdette, Ark., and was employed at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville and by Osceola Health Care as Charge Nurse and Medicare Manager. She was active in the 4H Club and of the Hermondale Community Club.
Survivors include one son; Senior Airman Jamaal Jones and wife Melita, of Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz.; one sister, Muriel Swatson and husband Douglas, of Hermondale, Mo.; three brothers, Alfred Jones, of Hermondale, Dewayne Jones and wife Mariam, of Tampa, Fl., Elbert Jones and wife Bridgett, of Tallahassee, Fl.; one grandson, Jalen Jones, of Glendale, Ariz.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., today, Friday, March 10, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville, Ark.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 11, at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Blythville, located at 1630 West St., with Rev. Horace G. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetary in Holland, Mo.
