Margarette Roberts

Margarette Roberts, 84, of Portageville, died Monday, March 6, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.

Born December 31, 1921, in Pemiscot County, daughter of the late Harry Travis and Martha Flowers Nolen. She was a member of the Bush Apostolic Church in Haywood.

On August 31, 1929, in Concord, Mo., she married Royal Roberts, who survives.

Other survivors include three sons; Richard and Denver Roberts, both of Lilbourn, and Dewayne Roberts, of Portageville, four daughters; Betty Roberts, of Portageville, Shirley Duncan, of St. Louis, Deborah Brown, of Wardell, and Judy Fisher, of Portageville, two sisters; Helen Martin, of Poplar Bluff and Donna Simmons, of Portageville, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son; Jerry Roberts, two sisters and three brothers.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, at the Bush Apostolic Church, with Pastor Dale Holman officiating. Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetary.

Pallbearers were Floyd Davis, Donald and Lonnie Cook, Julia Lerma, Leslie Brown and Bob Duncan.
