Robert E. "Bob" McCoy, 75, of Hayti, MO., died Wednesday, March 1, at his residence.
Born January 26, 1931, in Hayti, son of the late Hermie Lee Miller and Mattie Tannie McCoy.
On April 4, 1954, in Hayti, he married Alice Dawn Priest, who preceded him in death on July 22, 1985.
He worked for Frisco Railroad and retired from Burlington Northern as a Central Service Agent. He was a noted organist and pianist throughout the Arkansas and Missouri area. He graduated from Hayti High School in 1949, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include two sons, Robert D. "Dave" McCoy and wife, Sharon, of Mound City, Ill., and Kevin McCoy of Hayti, one daughter, Teresa Dawn Volner, of Lesterville, Mo.; one grandson, Clayton Joseph Volner, of Lesterville; one sister, Peggy Womack and husband, Kenneth, of Jonesboro, Ark.
Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4, at the Woodlawn Cemetary in Hayti, with Rev. Rob Titus officiating.
Pallbearers were A.G. Franks, Jr., Joel Nobles, Tommy Popham, Maurice Redden, Steve Carnell and Mark Wells. Honorary pallbearer was Dale Williams.
