Reba Jean Merrow Hendrixson, 80, of Alton, Ill., formerly of the Arbyrd, Mo. area, died Monday, March 6, 2006, at the Jerseyville Manor.
Born Oct. 13, 1925, in Paragould, Ark., daughter of the late William Lewis and Lula Mae Dunnegan Merrow, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 161 and the Eastern Star Chapter 96.
She married Barney Hendrixson, who preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and John L. Merrow and a step-grandson, Pat Shipe.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl Lenney, of Marietta, Ga., Sandra Barnett and husband, Gary, of Richmond Hill, Ga., Robyn Hendrixson and wife, Mary, of Albuquerque, N.M., Debra Almonroeder and husband, William, of Alton, Rodney Hendrixson and wife, Deana, of Tustin, Calif., and Tamara Leahy and husband, William, of Melbourne, Fla.; grandchildren, Kimberly Robinson, Steven Sowders, Kevin and Corey Wisniewski, Susan Ceullar, Stacy Jordan, William Almonroeder, Jr., Scott and Andrea Hendrixson and Nicole Leahy; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Keenan, C.J., Bryan, Jacob, Courtney, Louis, Rachel, Christopher and Caitlyn and 16 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the Gent Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 9, at Resurrection Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. George E. Pence officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
