Lola Gattis, 98, of Senath, Mo., formerly of Hornersville, Mo., died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at the Senath Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 2, 1907, in Corinth, Miss., daughter of the late Columbus and Lelar Younger Davis, she was a homemaker and a member of the Silverdale Baptist Church.
On March 16, 1927, in Guntown, Miss., she married Fairl Lyle "Kink" Gattis, Sr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leland Gattis; three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include six sons, Cleveland, Winfred, Carlton, Fairl, Lonnie and Roosevelt Gattis; two daughters, Imogene Vanhouser and Jennie Middleton; one brother, Fletcher Davis; 31 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 1, at the Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home in Hornersville.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville with the Rev. Kevin Knox officiating.
