Birdie Mae Jones, 85, of Malden, Mo. died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born on September 4, 1920, in Malden, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Luther Andrew and Nora Humphrey Paul. She was a housewife, and she was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden, Mo.

On November 4, 1939, in Malden, Mo. she married the late Everett Lee Jones Sr. who died January 19, 1966.

Survivors include five daughters, Thelma Louise West, of Malden, Mo., Mary Ann Viczko, of Holcomb, Mo., Wanda Sue Slusser, of Kennett, Mo., Linda Faye Turner and husband, Ronnie, of Kennett, Mo., and Debra Marlene Jones, of Malden, Mo. four sons, Everett Lee "Bud" Jones of Malden, Mo., Charles Ray Jones and wife, Mary, of Malden, Mo., Harold Dean Jones and wife, Brenda, of Malden, Mo., and Darrell Gene Jones and wife, Rhonda, of Bernie, Mo., three sisters, Mary Charles of Arizona, Ora Lee Benn, of Mesa, Arizona, and Nancy Owens, of Muncie, Ind., one brother, Virgil Paul, of Indiana, 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, special friend Jackie Ellison, of Malden, Mo.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur Paul, Raymond Paul, Jewell Paul, Jesse Paul, and Burley Paul, two sisters, Emma Lou McClearn and Mildred Paul.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, Mo. with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Mo.
