Lorene Pitts, 57, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Oct. 28, 1948, in Hornersville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Lillie Ann Shubert Lucas.
On Nov. 18, 1965, she married Floyd Pitts, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Floyd Wayne Pitts, Jr., and Rodney Emanuel Pitts, both of Kennett and Frankie Wayne Pitts, of Paragould, Ark.; two daughters, Lillie Anne Pitts and Danielle Renett Pitts-McKie, both of Kennett; two brothers, Toby Lucas, of Steele, Mo., and Alfred Lucas, of Portageville, Mo.; eight sisters, Mary House and Mamie Pitts, both of Steele, Helen Airsman, Patricia Sloan and Janette Virginia Swims, all of Kennett, Betty Bernard, of Nashville, Tenn., Florence Gambrel, of Detroit, Mich., and Donna Ruth Bullinger, of Little Rock, Ark., and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Andrews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Pallbearers are Floyd Pitts, Jr., Tony and Cory Lucas, Timmy Trainer, Charlie Hobson and Shannon Rickmon.
Honorary pallbearers are Alfred Lucas, Rickie Trainer and Robert Dunn.
