Lola Darden

Lola Mae Sissom Darden, of Avondale, Ariz., passed away Feb. 16, 2006. Mrs. Darden was born June 25, l922 in Cardwell, Mo. The family moved to Arizona in 1952 to work on Goodyear Farms where she was preceded in death by her husband George Irie Darden on March 29, l980. Lola was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale.

She is survived by three children, Jimmie Gene Darden (Ana) of Long Beach, Miss., Peggy Patricia Darden Adams (Richard) of Cashion, Ariz., and Jerold Wayne Darden (Jolene) of Goodyear, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006 at 6 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale. Pastor Jack Marslender will be officiating.
