Herbert McRill, 62, of Kennett, beloved husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle and friend, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at St. Louis, Mo.

Born April 12, 1943, in Kennett, son of the late Charles and Dillon Samples McRill, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

On Sept. 6, 1966, in Eaton County, Mich., he married Nancy Gingrich, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Scott McRill and wife, Valerie, and Chris Crawford and wife, Brenda, all of Kennett; one brother, Clifford McRill and wife, Phyllis, of Kennett; two sisters, Pansy Kieffner, of Kennett and Evelyn Lamb, of Smiths Station, Ala.; three grandchildren, Adam McRill, Megan Crawford and Chris Crawford II, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Friday, Feb. 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers will be Dave Johnson, Ty Hendershot, Tommy Samples, David Lee Crawford, Jimmy Raspberry and Don Endicott.
