Mildred Lucille Evans, 87, of Kennett, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born July 18, 1917, in Kennett, daughter of the late William Henry Marine and Dossie L. Waddell, she was a member of the Sumach Methodist Church.

On Aug. 13, 1935, in Piggott, Ark., she married William Allen Evans, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1996. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lynn "Scooter" Marine and a son-in-law, Jerry Jackson.

Survivors include five sons, Jerry Allen Evans and wife, Toni, of Long Beach, Calif., Micky Evans and wife, Sue, of Independence, Mo., Max Evans and wife, Kathy, of Springfield, Mo., Gaylon Evans and wife, Marcia, of Quincy, Ill., and Kevin Evans and wife, Wendy, of Gosnell, Ark.; two daughters, Maurine Jackson, Sharon Crawford and husband, Dan, all of Kennett; one sister, Vera Rolens, of Kennett; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Bros. O.H. Brooks and Eddie Clements officiating.

Burial was in the Sumach Cemetery at Holcomb, Mo.

Pallbearers were Roger Jackson, Brian, Tim, Steve, Allen, Mark and Michael Evans.
