Rosa Masters

Rosa Lee Masters, 81, of Kennett, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Nov. 13, 1924, in Blodgett, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie Everett and Pearl Mable Cobb James, she was a member of the Varner River Baptist Church in Kennett.

On Sept. 14, 1944 she married Arthur Masters, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1994.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Gene Masters, of Mounds, Ill., and Stevie Ken Masters, of Kennett; four daughters, Dorothy Verble, of Kennett, Shirley Austin, of Campbell, Mo., Phyllis Diane Morris, of Paragould, Ark., and Cleta Kay Woodard, of Moore, Okla.; three brothers, Charles Patterson James and James Dewey James, both of Kennett and John Wesley James, of Paragould; two sisters, Freda Crader, of Paragould and Evelyn Johnson, of Kerman, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonny Mittag officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Barry Finney, Harold Dunbar, Fred Blanton, Van Fuller and Jim Fuller.
