Violet Hayden

Violet Lorraine Cross Hayden, 90, of Farmington, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at the St. Francois Manor Nursing Home in Farmington.

Born Aug. 25, 1915, in Bucoda, Mo., she was the daughter of the late John Riley and Annie Burcham Cross.

She married William Louis "Be" Hayden, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Mayford and Marlon Hodge; three sisters, Ama Lee and Iva Cross and Katheryn Bowlin and one grandson, Michael Hodge.

Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Dunnigan, of Crestview, Fla., Patsy Shearin, of Huntsville, Ala., Anna Loyeda Hayden, of Memphis, Tenn., and Candy Hayden, of Piggott, Ark.; stepchildren, "Be" Hezzikiah Hayden, of Lemmon Grove, Calif., and Deronda Hazel Hayden Tucker, of Ashflat, Ark.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Hodge of Farmington; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, Mo. with the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.

Burial was in the McGrew Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marty Hodge, Andrew Crow, Jeremy Crow and Connie Hodge.
