Alvin Wayne Skinner, 63, of Portageville, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at his residence.
Born Aug. 17, 1942, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late Elmer and Mable Helen Walker Skinner, he was a mechanic.
On July 31, 1993, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Shelia Diane Mathis, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Steve Mathis and wife, Rhonda, of Caruthersville; two daughters, Michelle Mouhalis and husband, Tim, of Kennett and Ginger Douglas and husband, David, of Portageville; three brothers, Sam Skinner and wife, Barbara, of St. Louis, Mo., Winford Skinner and wife, Joane, of Gideon and Earnest Skinner and wife, Becky, of Union City, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren, Michael, Jacob and Jody Emery, Maggie and Joel Mouhalis and Ethan, Trevor and Zackary Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Leach; maternal grandparents, Jim and Carolyn Walker and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Amanda Skinner.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Wardell, Mo., with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery.
