Jay C. Stark, 68, of Magee, Miss., died Jan. 28, 2006, at Guardian Angel Hospice Center in Raleigh, Miss., after a battle with cancer.

He was born at Kennett, Mo., son of Charles Henry Stark and Carrie Lou Dark. Stark was a retired truck driver and he also worked as a tool and die maker.

He married Martha Ann Mobbs who survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Tina Collins and husband, Jackie, of Bragg City, Mo., Laurie Ann Eldridge, and husband, James, of Sullivan, Mo., Sandry Stark of Kennett, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Mandy Martin and Christy Martin both of Magee; two sons, Anthony Stark of Lake Ozark, Mo., Bruce Stark of Cuba, Mo.; one sister, Joyce Brown and husband, Jimmy, of Marble Hill, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Stark of Kennett, Tim Stark of Aurora, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson; and one adopted step-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, two great-great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Womack Cemetery in Magee with the Rev. J.B. Craft Jr. officiating.

Tutor Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
