Artie James "Jim" Standley, 81, of Cardwell, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born March 28, 1924, in Brighton, Tenn., son of the late James Robert and Mary Adaline Cupp Standley, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
On May 20, 1946, in Paragould, Ark., he married Eunice Stanfill, who survives.
Survivors also include four sons, Ken Standley and wife, Karen, of Exeter, Calif., Kelvin Standley and wife, Tina, of Paragould, Danny Standley and Clinton Standley and wife, Billie, all of Cardwell; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, John, and Walt; and three sisters, Pauline, Myrtle, and Lorraine.
Funeral services were held today, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at 1 p.m., at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Revs. Floyd Ryles and Jay Masterson officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery. Family members served as pallbearers.
