Mable Scallorns

Mable Scallorns, 89, of Kennett, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

She was married to the late Chester Scallorns on March 6, 1937 in Dunklin County, Mo.

She was the daughter of the late Luther Barnes and Minnie Myrtle Dearing Barnes.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Scallorn and wife, Fran, of California, Mo., and Mike Scallorns and wife, Vickie, of Kennett, Mo.; one brother, Bill Barnes of Springfield, Mo., two sisters, Louise Tucker of Kennett, Mo., and Norma Bridgeman of Benton, Kent.; five grandchildren, Michelle Treu of Jefferson City, Mo., Tami Hirsch of of Miami, Fla., Melodie Scallorns of Kennett, Mo., Joseph Scallorns of Louisa, Vir., and Michael T. Scallorns of Kennett, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, William and Dory Hirsch of Miami, Fla., and Jack Treu of Jefferson City, Mo.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Oval Barnes, and one sister, Neva Elder.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Mo. with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.

Burial was at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Mo.
