Willie Rebecca Watkins, 78, of Danbury, Texas, formerly of Cooter, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at her residence.

Born Dec. 22, 1927, in Cooter, daughter of the late Howard and Velma Reeder O'Keane, she attended school in the Cooter area. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

On April 15, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Bayard S. Watkins, Jr., who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Melinda Fultz and husband, Gordon, of Oxford, Ind. and, Lequetta Smith and husband, Rick, of Danbury; two sons, Keith Watkins and wife, Jennie, of Plainfield, Ill., and Donald Watkins and wife, Cindy, of Lockport, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Diane Mendoza, Clayton, Becky, Teresa, David, Kally, Jeremy, Amanda and Randy and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ginger Kaup; one brother, Donald O'Keane; one sister, Mabel Riggs and one granddaughter, Tambra Fultz.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo., with the Rev. Mack Malone officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Donald Watkins, Lequetta Smith, Ricky Smith, David Watkins, Jeremy Watkins, Mike Mendoza, Jeff Bingham, Randy Smith, Clayton Fultz and Dan Malone.
