Loleda Allen, 88, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Gideon Care Center.

Born Dec. 2, 1917, in Wardell, Mo., daughter of the late Grover and Leah Haywood McDaniel, she was a cook at Gideon School.

Survivors include two daughters, Patty Breedon and husband, Jim, of Holcomb, Mo., and Jo Ann Reesha, of Kennett; one son, Terry Allen and wife, Nell, of Piggott, Ark.; one brother, Doyle McDaniel, of Wood River, Ill.; one grandson, Dr. Scott Allen, of Jonesboro, Ark.; two granddaughters, Krysty Holt, of Kennett and Terica Allen, of Piggott; one step-grandson, Larry Cloninger, of Little Rock, Ark.; one step-granddaughter, Jean Cloninger, of Piggott and three great-grandchildren, Allison Holt, of Kennett and Jacob and Alex Allen, of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Durrell McDaniel and one sister, Valerie Cain.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon with the Rev. Cleo Payne officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
