Born May 8, 1936, in Kennett, son of Maggie Pauline Warren Masters and the late Arnold James Masters Sr., he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a warehouse supervisor at Emerson Electric and was a member of the Bakerville Church of Christ.
On Jan. 27, 1961, in Kennett, he married Betty June Carmack, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Derrick Masters and wife, Katie, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one daughter, Karen Forrest and husband, Kevin, of Bakerville, Mo.; his mother, Pauline Masters, of Senath, Mo.; one brother, Mike Masters and wife, Diane, of Senath; three sisters, Alberta Fletcher and husband, Irvin, of Titusville, Fla., Janet Frederick and husband, Myrl, of Kennett and Shelby Burdin and husband, Hughey, of Bonne Terre, Mo., and four grandchildren, Joshua Cate, and Lucas and Charles Masters, all of Fredericksburg and Kimberly Forrest, of Bakerville.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Jack Lance, Bill Blankenship, Joey Clark, Danny Frederick, Ron Roberts and Tommie Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Wade, Floyd Owens, Allen O'Neal, Byron Riley, William Forrest, Bill Biggs, Coy Wylie and Tommy Edwards.
