Jerry Taylor, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Taylor, Sr., 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at Poplar Bluff.

Born Dec. 29, 1942, in Hayti, son of Arlie Ruth Spence and L. A. Taylor, Sr., he was a graduate of Hayti High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an electrician and was employed at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

On June 26, 1981, in Poplar Bluff, he married Charlene Gentry, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Jerry Wayne Taylor, Jr., and wife, Christine, of Puxico, Mo.; two step-children, Chauna Mayo and husband, Lynn, of Union City, Tenn., and Mark Johnson, of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; one brother, L. A. Taylor, Jr., and wife, Sue, of Pevely, Mo.; one sister, Gwendolyn Jones and husband, J.B., of Tiptonville, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Jeri Lee Taylor, of Poplar Bluff; one grandson, Brandin Jaymes Taylor, of Poplar Bluff and six step-grandchildren.

No services are planned.

John W. German Funeral Home was in charge.
