Zora Lois Palmer, 79, of Lakeview, Ark., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Mountain Home, Ark.
Born June 14, 1926, in Dunklin County, Mo., daughter of the late Loyce and Mattie Howard Dycus, she was a restaurant owner and operator and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home.
On July 5, 1941, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Billy Wayne Palmer, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Wayne Palmer; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Phillips, of Lakeview; two sons, Timothy K. Palmer, of Ballwin, Mo., and Mark S. Palmer, of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Dorothy Kirby, of Buffalo, Mo.; six grandchildren, Tammy Campbell, of New Madrid, Mo., Robert Palmer, of Hornbeak, Ark., Sarah Palmer, of Ballwin and Jordan Franke, Austin Cope and Marisabela Palmer, all of Fayetteville and five great-grandchildren, Palmer and Dallas Campbell, both of New Madrid, Crystal Palmer, of Scott City, Mo., and Josh and Danielle Palmer, both of Branson, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Friday, Jan. 27, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti.
Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.
Pallbearers were Dub Pate, Ron Birmingham, George Byers, W.T. Davidson and Wayne and Kim Campbell.
