Born in Manila, son of the late William Joseph and Mary Jewell Wright Hutton, he was a graduate of Manila High School and the University of Arkansas, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, where he received the U.S. Air Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge. He was a farmer, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila and he also attended the First United Methodist Church in Kennett.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Meacham Hutton of the home; three sons, Vaughn Hutton, of Marion, Ark., Rand Hutton, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Mark Hutton, of Blytheville, Ark. and six grandchildren, Jennifer Marie, Joshua, Morgan Marie, Molly, Katie and Nathan Hutton.
He was preceded in death by one son, Joey Hutton.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Howard Funeral Home in Manila.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the First United Methodist Church in Manila with the Revs. Gary Carter and Stephen Waggoner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Towles, Bobby Nowlin, Toby Bunch, Glenn Kitchens, R.A. Davidson and Joshua Hutton.
