Dorothy B. "Bobbie" Gaither, 85, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Memphis, Tenn.

Born Feb. 15, 1920, in Steele, Mo., daughter of the late Samuel Ward and Ella Mae Duncan Sharp, she was owner of Gaither Furniture Co., and was active in the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.

She married Robert L. Gaither, who preceded her in death in 1988.

Survivors include one sister, Gladys Caudle, of Steele; one brother, Jim Sharpe and wife, Beverly, of Palm Springs, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dwight Chapman and Mike Hargraves officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were David and Tom Caudle, Steven Townsend, Hunter Crawford, Cody Antill and Nelson Davis.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
