Jimmy Dewayne Reed, 48, of Kennett, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Aug. 22, 1957, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Barbara Oatsville Reed and the late James Nolan Reed, he was a automobile mechanic.

Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Barrett and husband, Richard, of Kennett; one son, Jimmy Dewayne Reed, Jr., of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; his mother, Barbara Burns, of Mayfield, Ky.; two brothers, James Reed, of Wyatt, Mo., and Jamie Burns, of Mayfield; two sisters, Lisa Reed, of Mayfield and Ronda Reed, of East Prairie and three grandsons, Richard Dylan Barrett, of Kennett, Christian Logan Walton and Ashton D. Reed, both of Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held later in East Prairie.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
