Jimmy Dale, 95, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Malden.
Born Feb. 19, 1910, in Piggott, Ark., son of the late Cord and Mary Elizabeth Largent Dale, he was a farmer and a member of the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church.
On Aug. 17, 1929, in Flint, Mich., he married Rosa Marie Butts, who preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 1996. He was also preceded in death by one son, Russell "P.D." Dale; two sisters, Edith Williams and Ira Chandler; two step-brothers; one step-sister; one half-brother and one granddaughter, Sandy Elder.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Kitrel, of Malden; a daughter-in-law, Betty Dale, of Hastings, Fla.; three grandchildren, Debbie McDermitt, of St. Augustine, Fla., Ericka Kitrel, of Wildwood, Mo., and Greta Kitrel, of Malden and five great-grandchildren, Sarah and Ashley Elder, Denise and Brannan Kinder and Kaitlyn Richardson.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Carter officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
