Kenneth "Crawdad" Gardner, 76, of Caruth, Mo., was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Clinton, Ark., to the late Jewel and Oliver Gardner. He passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 in Paragould, Ark.

Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by one sister, Ava Nell Gardner and two brothers, Claudies and Harvey Gardner.

On June 21, 1950, he married Frankie Stewart, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include five sons, Tony Lee Gardner and wife, Mary, of Caruth, Kenny Paul Gardner, of Caruth, Teddy Dale Gardner and Marybeth Humphress, of Campbell, Mo., Johnny Dewayne Gardner and wife, Debbie, of Piggott, Ark., and Randy Joe Gardner and wife, Diania, of Senath, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Tony Gardner, Jr., and wife, Ann, of Senath, Rocky Gardner and wife, Alisha, of Hornersville, Mo., Craig Reed, of Kennett, Charlotte Golden and husband, James, of Senath, Ashley Midkiff and husband, Aaron, of Piggott, Michael and Brandon Gardner, of Senath, Justin Hooten, of Corning, Ark., and Scotty Umphress, of Campbell; eight great-grandchildren, Garrett Reed, of Kennett, Matthew and Lucas Gardner, of Senath, Holden and Raven Umphress, of Campbell and Cheyenne, Dakota and Emma Hooten, all of Corning; three sisters, Vadis Brooks, of Senath, Alline Welty and husband, Richard, of Brooklyn, Mich., and Lorine Lawson, of North Port, Fla., and two brothers, Clifford Gardner and wife, Marie, and Johnny Wayne Gardner and wife, Paulette, all of Pontiac, Mich. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.

Visitation was held at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath Monday, Jan. 9, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the immediate family and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the public.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.

Burial was in the Cude Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roger Gardner, Brett Chailland, Mark Cannon, Tommy Rooney, Johnny Rooney and Donnie Airsman.
