John A. York, 55, of Osceola, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Friday, Nov. 17, 1950, at Campbell, Mo., a son of James A. "Jack" and Ann Jarrett York, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Osceola and an accountant at Bunge Corp.

He married Donna Sue Weaver, who survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jonathan York and wife, Candy, of Osceola; one daughter, Allison York of Osceola; one brother, Ronnie York of Magness, Ark.; one sister, Suzy Maxwell of Jacksonville, Ark., one grandson, Hunter Ragan and one granddaughter, Alexis York.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at First Baptist Church at Osceola.

Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church at Osceola or the American Cancer Society.
