Thomas Clark, 96, of Thayer, Mo., formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005 at Shady Oaks Nursing Center at Thayer.
Born Aug. 31, 1909, in Dyer County, Tenn., a son of the late Joe and Lula Sanders Clark, a retired cotton farmer and a Christian.
On Jan. 12, 1929, he married Roberta "Ruby" Faith Jones who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Emma Lou Crowe of Kennett, Mary Sue Henderson of Waynsville, N.C., Joanne Strop and husband, Paul, of Waynesville, Mo. and Donna Zink and husband, Greg, of Carthage, Mo., three sons, John C. Clark of Memphis, Tenn., Larry Clark and wife, Joy, of West Plains, Mo., Ron Clark and wife, Gletta, of Thayer; one sister, Eunice Pemberton of Michigan; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy; three sisters, Letha Vardell, Lillian Wilkinson and Azzie Clark; and four brothers, Corbett "O.C.", Chapter, Newman and Fayman Clark.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel at Portageville with the Rev. Vic Elliott officiating.
Burial was in Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Anthony Clark, Stephen Clark, Joe Clark, Cal Clark, Greg Zink and Mike Appelt.
